| Actual Foreign Investment in China in the First 10 Months Exceeded that of 2003 |

According to the latest statistics, in 2004, FDI in China kept fast increasing and actual use of foreign investment in the first 10 months amounted to US$53.781 billion, more than that of 2003, which were US$53.505 billion.
In January through Oct., China newly approved 35202 foreign investment enterprises, up by 7.66% compared with the same period of last year, and the commitment reached US$118.999 billion and actual use US$53.781 billion, up by 34.19% and 23.47% respectively.
By the end of Oct., total number of approved foreign investment enterprises in China was 500479 with the commitment of US$1.062129 trillion and actual use of US$555.251 billion.
